The Viterbi School of Engineering offers short courses for professional development
through its Aviation Safety and Security Program and its Distance Education Network.
The
Aviation Safety and Security program is the leading training program of its type, with more than 50 years of experience.
The program works in close collaboration with USC's Homeland Security Center (
CREATE -- Center for Risk and Economic Analysis of Terrorism Events), to improve the
safety and security of aviation through hands-on education programs.
The
Distance Education Network is now offering professional short courses over the Internet in System Architecture
and Engineering, with plans to expand in the future.
