 About the Department

The Epstein ISE Department is a rapidly expanding academic unit in the Andrew and Erna Viterbi School of Engineering.  Our faculty and staff are dedicated to providing the best possible experience for students who want an education that integrates engineering, technology, and management. The systems view pervades our curriculum. We have graduates working in consulting, technology development, software, supply chains, manufacturing , engineering management, and many related areas. Epstein ISE graduates find professional success in all sectors of the economy, private, public, and every combination in between.

Our graduate degrees prepare students for the most advanced work in the field, either as industry professionals or as academic personnel. Our graduate program in Systems Architecture and Engineering is a unique, nationally prominent collaboration with industry and other universities. Four of our graduate degrees are available to off-campus students via the USC Viterbi School's Distance Education Network (DEN). Distance education students participate in real time lectures and discussions that are offered concurrently to students on the USC University Park campus. We in the Epstein ISE Department look forward to working with you to make your USC Viterbi School education a success.
