Career Services [back to top]
The USC Viterbi School of Engineering Career Services office acts as a liaison between employers and technical students, providing events and programs designed to connect outstanding engineers with top employers!  We work with students in the USC Viterbi School of Engineering to assist them with resume reviews and job- and internship-search strategies.

The Career Services Office coordinates the on-campus interviewing program for engineers and manages the Cooperative Education Program.  The biggest annual events, the Engineering Career Conference and two Engineering Career Fairs, are attended by thousands of students and hundreds of employers.  For more information on Viterbi Career Services visit the website or click here to see a calendar of up-coming events.

Center for Engineering Diversity  [back to top]
The Center for Engineering Diversity (CED) is a program that promotes scholastic excellence among historically underreprepresented students in engineering (i.e. Afrcian-American, Native American and Hispanic students).  CED provides a variety of services and programs to foster a community of scholars and to prepare students to succeed as engineering professionals.  In addition to providing support services, CED facilitates community service and social events and provides numerous opportunities for students to network with alumni and industry representatives at events such as receptions, barbecues, luncheons and seminars.

Engineering Writing Center  [back to top]
Besides providing guidance regarding academic papers, the Engineering Writing Center helps graduate students edit resumes, job applications, dissertation chapters, and journal articles for publication. Students are encouraged to set up appointments for consultation.

The Office of Master's and Professional Programs [back to top]
The Office of Master's and Professional Programs (MAPP) is happy to meet with graduate students to answer questions about enrollment, provide general advisement about policies and procedures, review applications for Curricular Practical Training (CPT) and Optional Practical Training (OPT), and offer resources and services to help students succeed in their Master's studies at the USC Viterbi School of Engineering.

Please note that MAPP does not replace departmental academic advisement.  For specific questions regarding curriculum and degree requirements, please contact the individual department.  For a list of advisors, click here.

Webcast Lectures  [back to top]
On-campus students enrolled in graduate engineering courses receive free access to archived lectures of courses offered through USC Distance Education Network (DEN). The archived lectures serve as an important study aid but are not a substitute for attending class.
