The Viterbi School of Engineering is home to two National Science Foundation Engineering Research Centers (the Integrated Media Systems Center and the Biomimetic MicroElectronic Systems Center), as well as the first University Center of Excellence funded by the Department of Homeland Security (CREATE--the Center for Risk and Economic Analysis of Terrorism Events).  USC is also home to the world-famous Information Sciences Institute and the Alfred Mann Institute for Biomedical Engineering.  For a complete list of research centers and institutes, please go to http://viterbi/usc.edu/research/centers.
