Transfer Planning Guides
As a prospective transfer student attending a California Community College you can access a
Transfer Planning Guide (TPG) that is tailored to your major and institution. The TPG will help you select courses based on your major that are guaranteed to transfer to USC. TPGs are also available for limited four-year institutions.
If you attend a California Community College or a four-year institution that is not listed on the TPG website, please check the USC Articulation Histories, and contact us for engineering specific courses.
Please note, you are not required to take all the classes listed under the "Major Requirement" section of the TPG. We recommend that you have completed or have in progress (in the spring) the following when you apply for transfer:
- Calculus II
- Two Terms of a Lab-Based Science
- USC's Writing Requirement
- 30 Transferable Semester Units or 45 Quarter Units
