Our Distance Education Network (DEN) has fast become one of the most successful e-learning programs in the country. Recognized as a pioneer by U.S. News and World Report, DEN now offers more than two dozen master’s degrees in engineering to graduate students in corporations nationwide. Many successful companies value DEN’s ability to provide their employees with a competitive advantage. DEN provides state-of-the-art distance education through its collaboration with our School’s esteemed research centers: the Integrated Media Systems Center (IMSC) and the Information Sciences Institute (ISI), both of which provide testbeds for advanced learning technologies.

We are at a pivotal point in DEN’s evolution. We now seek partners to help bring DEN to the next level and expand across global boundaries. With your contribution, DEN programs will reach individuals in developing countries and rural areas where education and professional opportunities are often limited or prohibitively expensive. Tapping the potential in distance education will only be possible with significant future support. An investment in the growth of one of the School’s most exciting exports will help secure Viterbi’s future global leadership.

USC Viterbi engineering is a top school. DEN gave me the ability as a professional to balance work and academia. What I most appreciated was the flexible schedule it allowed me to have.
