The Importance of the Visual Identity System
A strong, coherent visual identity is a critical component in establishing the USC Andrew and Erna Viterbi School of Engineering as one of the nation’s pre-eminent engineering schools. By thoughtfully applying these guidelines on communications that represent our School, both electronic and print, you become integral in helping to reinforce the School’s awareness, visibility and stature both inside and outside the educational community.
How to Use This System
The Visual Identity System guidelines are downloadable in PDF form. Be sure to familiarize yourself with them before creating any communication materials for the USC Viterbi School of Engineering. The USC Viterbi Signature and Mark, as well as design templates for many types of print and electronic media, are available for convenient download in both Mac and PC formats.
The USC logo is a mandatory element on all communications. The USC Graphic Identity Program contains further guidelines for proper and improper usage of this logo. The university logo and standards may be found at
