Templates
To aid in creating communication materials that are consistent with and reinforce the USC Viterbi brand templates have been provided for
Web,
PowerPoint, and
Print applications.
Website Graphics
USC Viterbi guidelines require the use of the USC 50-Pixel Web Monogram Bar and the USC Viterbi Signature and Mark, which are available for download in various approved color combinations.
The Web Template Page also provides examples of the Text Area of the Viterbi Web band to show how a Department, Institute or Program name should be treated, and custom text area’s may be ordered for any USC Viterbi School of Engineering affiliated body.
PowerPoint Templates
Three design templates have been included along with a chart example file. Each design option includes three master slides; title, section divider, and typical slide. To create additional slides duplicate the particular slide that applies. Option A includes images as placeholder only. Please replace these with your own images that will support your presentation. Print Templates
Included are Quark® templates (Mac and PC) for the following applications: two 4" x 9" tri-fold brochures, two 8.5" x 11" brochures, one 9" x 12" information packet with pocket, two 4” x 6” postcards, two announcements/invitations, and 8.75" x 11.25" horizontal and vertical report covers. All photography included is placeholder only and must be replaced with high-resolution (usually 300 dpi or higher at 100%) photography. The layout grid provides a simple yet flexible underlying foundation for all USC Viterbi School of Engineering printed materials. It is based on a 1/4" x 1/4" proportion grid and is provided with the Quark templates on the “A” Master Page. The size of the grid remains the same for materials of all
sizes. To make the grid visible in the document you are working in, turn on the guides (hit the F7 key to turn guides off and on.) You may pull down the blank Master Page “B” to remove the grid and pull your own guides and then re-apply Master Page “A” to verify that you are following the School design guidelines. For further instructions on using the grid in your layouts, refer to page 10 of the downloadable PDF file of the
Visual Identity System.
