Scholarship Opportunities to study in China

University of Southern California students have been invited by the China Scholarship Council to apply for scholarships to study at a Chinese university. Undergraduates and graduates are both welcome to apply for these scholarships. Please circulate this announcement to all students in your department.

Please note the following:

Application Deadline: May 20, 2008

Eligibility:

 - Students attending USC and other member institutions of the Association of American Universities
 - Students may apply for study leading to a degree from a Chinese institution or for study that may aid in completing a USC degree.
 - Students pursuing undergraduate degrees may be supported for one or more years.
 - Students pursuing masters or doctoral degrees may be supported for two or three years.
 - Students requiring language training in advance of formal studies may receive an additional one or two years of support.

Total Number of Awards: 10-15

What the Awards Include: Tuition, fees, dormitory housing, limited medical insurance, and a stipend

What is Not Included: International travel to and from China and travel within China
