Work With USC's Interaction Lab

May 06, 2008
Project: USC's Interaction Lab (see http://robotics.usc.edu/interaction) is looking for undergraduate students with programming experience to get involved with cutting edge robotics research. Specifically, we have projects in socially assistive robotics, robots that help stroke patients, kids with autism, and the elderly, involving a range of robots, from mobile basis to humanoids. We are seeking students who can help us to program and debug the robots, and then to conduct experiments with real-world users of these intelligent machines. Only basic programming background is required.

Students will be part of the USC Center for Robotics and Embedded Systems (http://cres.usc.edu) and have the opportunity to work with faculty, PhD students, postdocs, and other undergraduates nation-wide.

Pay: This program is supported by the National Science Foundation (NSF) Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) program. Its pay rate is $5100 for 10 weeks. Longer internships can be arranged.
