Bob is responsible for overall direction of the USC Viterbi School’s Department
of Communications. He also serves as managing editor of USC Engineer magazine and is editor of the newsletter, USC Engineering News. Bob graduated from Michigan State University with a B.A. degree in Journalism.
After working as a newspaper reporter for the Fort Lauderdale Sun-Sentinel and the Detroit Free Press, he served in several public relations and communications positions before coming
to USC in 1998.

Diane is a communications manager covering aerospace and mechanical engineering,
biomedical, chemical and petroleum engineering, civil and environmental engineering,
industrial and systems engineering, the astronautics and space division and materials
sciences. She handles media relations and contributes articles for the School’s
web site, biannual magazine and newsletter, as well as overseeing newsletter production.
Diane did her undergraduate work at UCLA and later earned a master’s degree. She
has an extensive background in print journalism and has worked many years as a
public affairs representative for two campuses of the University of California
and Caltech’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory.
John is responsible for speechwriting, institutional public relations, web research
and many other miscellaneous tasks. He works primarily from home. A public
relations professional at USC for almost 30 years, John also received his M.A.
in journalism from USC. Prior to USC, he worked as an intelligence agent for
the U.S. Army.

Jason is responsible for the technical side of the website and works closely
with the content managers to make sure the USC Viterbi School of Engineering's
web presence reflects the school. He is also the coordinator of the school's
Web Group which discusses challenges, strategy and web solutions within the USC
Viterbi School. And he serves as the webmaster of Department of Electrical Engineering.
Jason received his B.S. degree in Computer Engineering and Computer Science from
USC in May 1998 with a minor in Multimedia and Creative Technologies.

Eric is public information director for the Viterbi School's Information Sciences
Institute as well as covering events and research in the departments of electrical
engineering and computer science. He contributes to Viterbi School and USC publications
amd web sites. Eric has a degree in philosophy from the University of Wisconsin,
and extensive experience as a journalist and editor in both magazines (Time-Warner)
and newspapers (the Los Angeles Herald Examiner). He has been at USC since 1992,
and speaks Spanish and French and (less well) German and Russian.
