Advisory Board

The Systems Architecting & Engineering program has both strategic and technical advisory boards in order to meet industry and government needs. These partnerships were established as a mutual beneficial relations as shown below. Companies represented presently include: Aerospace Corporation, Anser Corporation, Boeing, Booz Allen Hamilton, EnCompass Knowledge Systems Inc., Lockheed Martin, NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory, Northrop Grumman, Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD) for Acquisition, Technology and Logistics (AT&L), Rand Corporation, Mitre Corporation, Pratt & Whitney, Raytheon, and SAIC.

The Charter of the Systems Architecting & Engineering (SAE) Program Industrial Advisory Board (IAB) is to guide the program in the development of strategic direction relative to academics, research, administration, outreach, advocacy, and development. The Board recommends ways to build new relationships within industry / government / civil business areas and strengthen those we have. The Board comprises representatives from partner organization

The Systems Architecting and Engineering (SAE) Program Technical Advisory Board (TAB) provides a forum for practicing engineers from the nation’s leading commercial, civil and governmental organizations to understand the offerings and direction of the SAE program and to ensure that the program is relevant to current and emerging business needs. The responsibilities of the board include:
• Assists in the definition of curriculum and course requirements.
• Reviews and recommends changes to the existing program structure, curriculum and courses.
• Supports the supervision, coaching and mentoring of Master's and Doctoral candidates.
• Reviews and supports the program's research strategy and recommends research projects at the Master's and Doctoral levels.
• Supports the SAE program by means consistent with their corporate policies and goals to include advertising and advocating the program, and having their companies consider joint programs and sponsored research activities.
