Financial Aid & Fellowships

The University of Southern California offers two kinds of financial aid for graduate students:

Merit based aid is competitve.  Both USC and the USC Viterbi School of Engineering offer merit based aid in the form of assitanceships and fellowships.

Financial Aid Information for International Students
Students should refer to their individual academic departments as a primary source for financial assistance.  Usually, financial aid for international students is in the form of Teaching or Research Assistantships or merit-based tuition waivers. 
 
Additional External Funding Opportunities for all Students
External funding is available to all students, however each award has different qualifications.  Please read all instructions for each award before applying.

     The sponsor provides support for Ph.D. thesis research of students pursuing a degree in radio astronomy,
     engineering or computer science.

     one of the environmental sciences.  Eligible applicants are full-time undergraduates or graduate students.

     Lyle Mamer Fellowship
     Sponsor provides fellowship awards of up to $2,000 to fund students engaging in graduate work to pursue an
     advanced degree in any phase of electrical energy.
