Congratulations on your admission to graduate study at the USC Viterbi School of Engineering. We are proud of your achievements, and we enthusiastically welcome you to our community of scholars.

GETTING STARTED AS A MASTER'S STUDENT AT USC:
     FALL 2008 ORIENTATION SESSIONS
  • Mandatory USC International Student Orientation  [back to top]
    All new and transfer international students must attend the orientation session hosted by the USC Office of International Services, or they will be unable to register for their classes. This session will cover important information related to academics, immigration regulations, life in the United States and at USC. The sessions will also include practical and social activities to help students become more comfortable with U.S. culture and lifestyle.     We encourage all graduate students entering in the fall semester to attend the USC Graduate Student Orientation. This will provide you with information about campus services, university life and resources available to you.   • Viterbi Engineering Master's Student Orientation  [back to top]
    All incoming Master's students, whether they are planning to pursue on- or off-campus programs of study, are encouraged to attend the Viterbi School graduate orientation.  The orientation will allow students to learn about their degree programs, registration procedures, university policies, resources, and student life.  It will also be a chance for new students to network with faculty, department staff and their fellow classmates at the Viterbi School of Engineering. The Fall 2008 Orientation session will be held Friday, August 22nd at 9:30 am in Seeley G. Mudd (SGM), Room 123.  To register please click here:  Viterbi Master's Orientation

****Welcome Luncheon!  Viterbi Orientation Attendees are invited to a new student Welcome Luncheon following the session****

  • Department Orientation
    Individual academic departments will  hold orientation sessions for the Fall 2008 semester following the Viterbi Orientation.  These sessions date/time are TBD

  • Online Orientation for Distance Education Network (DEN) Students [back to top]
    DEN students who will be unable to attend our on-campus orientation should view the orientation online. The online session will provide the same information covered in the on-campus orientation, and will be a great forum to ask questions about registration, degree progress, academic support, and student services. The online orientation session date/time is TBD. DEN students will be able to log into the live session from the DEN homepage.    Afterwards, students who were unable to participate in the live on-line session will be able to access the archived version from the DEN homepage.
