Double Majoring or Minoring

Requirements for  a Second Bachelor's Degree
Some engineering students are interested in pursuing a second degree in a field other than engineering.  Pursuing a second bachelor’s degree requires completing at least 32 units applicable to the second degree beyond the units completed for the first bachelor’s degree.  These 32 units must be completed in residence at USC.

Completing a second bachelor’s degree requires careful planning, and students interested in doing so should contact their academic advisor as soon as possible.

Minoring
Many engineering students are interested in pursuing a minor.  The Viterbi School offers a wide collection of engineering minors in addition to the 100+ offered University wide.

Please see Engineering + A Minor in the Undergraduate Bulletin for more information on how to pursue a minor with your engineering degree.
