Registering After the First Day of Classes
Things to Consider
There are several things that students should always consider and steps that must be followed when you attempt to register for classes on or after the first day of classes. Most importantly, it is a reality that students can expect certain classes to be closed. In fact, some classes close during the pre-registration period.
- After the first day of classes, many departments (math, writing, and some general education classes) will be changed from “R” to “D” classes. This means that students must receive d-clearances from the departments in order to register for the classes. Before d-clearances can be assigned, students must first obtain a signature on a drop/add form from the instructor. If a class is closed, students must obtain a signature and a departmental stamp; students then must register in person at REG.
- To register for any class after the first week of classes students must obtain the instructor’s signature on a drop/add form.
- Finally, students who do not register for any classes until the first, second, or third week of classes will have late fees added to their tuition fee bill. Specific fee information may be found in the Schedule of Classes.
