USC Engineers begin taking major-related engineering classes in their freshman year, which allows them to begin contributing to your company almost immediately!  Our engineering students are encouraged to gain as much hands-on, technical experience as they can before graduation. You, as an employer, play a very important role in providing challenging and relevant work experiences for our Trojan engineers. USC students are encouraged to get a summer internship to gain practical experience and explore their options for employment after graduation.  Employers benefit too!  Summer interns can free up staff members to focus on higher-level assignments.  The internship process will also serve your company as an extended recruiting and selection process, ensuring candidates who are a strong fit to your company’s needs.
