Viterbi Engineering Career Expo - Spring 2012

The Engineering Career Expo is free and open to all students in the USC Viterbi School of Engineering.
Students do not need to register for this event…just show up!
This casual, yet professional, environment allows students the opportunity to have brief conversations
with recruiters about full-time employment, internships, and co-ops.
Don’t forget your resume!

Make a GREAT impression at the Engineering Career Expo!
Do:
  • Research the employers you plan to speak with.
  • Customize your resume.
  • Dress business casual.
  • Bring copies of your resume and something to take notes on.
  • Be prepared:
    Have a 30 second presentation of what you plan to say to recruiters. Be direct and ask specific questions.
  • Follow up with each recruiter you speak with.
    Be sure to get their contact information - ask for a business card or write down their information.
 
Don't:
  • Just get in line! Pick up brochures and network with other job seekers.
  • Forget to get the contact information of the recruiters you speak with.
