MESA is a program of the University of Southern California (under contract with the University of California) that serves educationally disadvantaged students and, to the extent possible by law, emphasizes participation by students from groups with low rates of eligibility for four-year colleges. MESA provides a pipeline of academic services from elementary through university level to increase the number of these students who graduate with degrees in math, science, and engineering.
The USC MESA program serves its students with innovative academic, college and career counseling and hands-on science programs, which are great opportunities to compete, show off and meet new friends.
USC MESA strives to prepare students to enter the college of their choice and major in math-based fields.
