Welcome to Commencement 2012! Below you will find important information about dates, procedures, and deadlines for this year’s commencement planning. The Viterbi School celebrates will have both Undergraduate & Graduate Commencement Ceremonies. Please refer to the Viterbi Commencement page for specific information for Graduate Degree Candidates.

 

The USC Main Commencement Ceremony takes place Friday, May 11, 2012 at 8:30 a.m. in Alumni Park. No tickets are required. Seating is on a first-come, first-served basis.

Immediately following the USC Main Commencement Ceremony the Viterbi School Undergraduate Commencement Ceremony will take place at 10:45 a.m. in Archimedes Plaza (located between BHE and PCE). During the ceremony,  there will be an address from Dr. Yannis C. Yortsos, Dean of the Viterbi School of Engineering, and a valedictory speech.  All Viterbi Degree Candidates will be acknowledged individually at this ceremony.

 

The ceremony is expected to end between 12:15-12:30 pm.

  

Viterbi Undergraduate Ceremony Guest Seating and Tickets
The Viterbi Undergraduate Ceremony does not require tickets. Seating will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. All guests must be seated during the ceremony and the aisles must remain clear.

All degree candidates will be seated by department. Upon arrival each degree candidate will receive a Graduate Information Card. This card will be used to announce each student as he/she walks across stage.

 

Several photos of each student will be taken as he/she walks across the stage at the Viterbi Undergraduate Ceremony. GradTrak Photo is the photographer for the Viterbi Ceremony as well as many other academic units. For additional information about photos please refer to the University Commencement website.

 

Information will be available on Commencement Ceremonies, Travel Arrangements, Class Rings and Announcements. Student can pre-order their cap and gown the Grad Fair.

 

The Proof will be available for verification of name and degree information

Special Note to ALL Graduates: Your name will NOT appear in the Commencement Book if any privacy blocks are placed on your student information. If you would like to change this, please contact Academic Records & Registrar, in JHH Lobby. Your name will only appear in the Commencement Book if you completed your degree in Fall 2011 or have an expected degree date of Spring 2012 or Summer 2012. Your expected degree date is listed on your STARS report. If this date is incorrect you must go to Degree Progress (JHH 010) to update it to the appropriate term. 

 

April 25: Pick-up Pre-ordered Regalia

Regalia that was that pre-ordered at the Grad Fair will be available at the Pertusati University Bookstore, 3rd Floor.

 

Ordering, measurement and distribution of the Cap and Gown will take place in the Pertusati University Bookstore, 3rd Floor.
