Fall 2012 Advisement and Registration

REGISTRATION - Every semester all undergraduate students are assigned a date and time when they can register for classes. Beginning Friday, March 9, 2012, all currently enrolled students can confirm their fall 2012 registration appointment time by logging onto myUSC, and then clicking on Permit to Register. Students may access Web Registration to build a schedule any time, but the system will not allow students to register until the time of their respective registration appointments. Registration appointment times are determined by the number of undergraduate units completed.

ADVISEMENT - Fall 2012 Mandatory Advisement for freshmen will be taking place in February, March, and April. All undergraduate engineering majors are required to meet with their academic advisor each semester prior to registering for classes. All freshmen must meet with their respective FYE advisor in RTH 110. Sophomores, juniors and seniors should meet with their department major advisors. Students must receive advisement before the "advisement hold" on their registration is removed.

PLEASE NOTE – Do not confuse your registration appointment time and the advisement appointment with your advisor. You must meet with your advisor well before your registration appointment date and time.

Steps for Fall Registration

D-Clearance Instructions

Engineering Math Sections - Engineering-specific math sections will require D-clearance.  After your advisement appointment, your advisor will give you D-clearance to the appropriate math sections. If none of the engineering-specific math sections fit your schedule, you can register for the non-D-clearance sections.

Engineering Honors Colloquium (ENGR 100abcd) - To get clearance for any section of the ENGR 100 series, you will need to fill out a D-Clearance request form in RTH 110.  For questions regarding the Engineering Honors Program, please contact Amanda Atkinson at amanda.atkinson@usc.edu.
