Honors Program
The W.V.T. Rusch Undergraduate Engineering Honors Program (EHP) provides a unique opportunity for talented students to participate in academic and social activities directed towards honors students. The program is open to qualified students in any year of undergraduate study, and is designed to provide a stimulating intellectual experience to supplement the usual undergraduate experience.

Students who have demonstrated exceptional academic abilities are invited to join.  Current Students must show and maintain exceptional academics through their cumulative USC GPA.  Incoming students will be evaluated based on the academic merits prior to applying to USC.  See the Application Information section to learn more about the criteria for joining the Honors Program.

The W.V.T. Rusch Engineering Honors Program consists of:

ENGR 100abcd (Engineering Honors Colloquium) Classes
All students in the program are expected to complete several one-unit semester courses of ENGR 100abcd. The number of courses which must be taken will vary based on when each student was admitted to the program.  The Honors Program Policies section contains specific information on how many semesters of the Colloquium a student can expect to take.  Students who receive credit for their required number of ENGR 100 courses will receive special recognition at graduation.

This course is a credit/ no-credit class providing a series of lectures relevant to engineers in our high-technology society.  The Honors Program Schedule provides a listing of the topics and speakers for this semester.

EHP Students Participating in the Fall 2005 Retreat at Yosemite National Park
The Fall Retreat
Attending an EHP Fall Retreat to a destination such as Catalina Island or Yosemite National Park is a great way to get to know fellow Honors Program students at the beginning of the school year.  This retreat is traditionally held at the end of the first week of classes and is open to all members of the Honors Program, but spaces are limited.  See The Fall Retreat section for more information about upcoming and past retreats.

Faculty Advisors
Every student in the Engineering Honors Program will be assigned a Faculty Advisor, who is available to provide guidance in the selection of electives as well as future career or educational opportunities of interest.

In addition to these features of the Honors Program, other special events and opportunities also arise for members of the program.  Check out the Honors Program Schedule for any special events that might be coming soon.  The W.V.T. Rusch Engineering Honors Program is a great way to enrich your experience in the Viterbi School of Engineering!
