Dr. Sidney Harman: "Technology, Ethics, Writing & Jazz"

Sidney Harman is the founder and chairman of audio-equipment giant Harman International Industries, whose many electronics and audio-equipment brands include Harman Kardon, JBL, AKG Acoustics, Mark Levinson and Infinity. He co-founded Harman Kardon, a pioneering company in the high-fidelity audio business, in 1952.
Dr. Harman also serves as the first Judge Widney Professor of Business at the USC Marshall School of Business. This position is one of USC’s most prestigious, named after university founder Judge Robert Maclay Widney. Click

Alan Alda, "Inaugural Master Seminar: Technology & Communication"

Alan Alda, a renown actor, has numerous awards for his many roles in film, television and theater. In addition, Mr. Alda hosts Scientific American Frontiers on PBS and is a true enthusiast for science and technology. He visited the USC Viterbi School to discuss the importance of communication for engineers (

"Science, Art & Society".
