Overseas & Exchange Programs
Engineering is a global profession and studying abroad for a semester or a summer is a great way to learn more about other cultures as well as gain perspective on technology issues in other countries.  Today companies are more often international in scope or collaborate with partners overseas.  The opportunity to study abroad provides you with the opportunity to gain meaningful international exposure prior to entering the workforce.

The Viterbi School offers several different ways for students to study abroad:

Summer Overseas Programs
Six to seven week programs offered each summer in various cities throughout Europe. Students participating in this program can make progress towards their engineering degree by taking two major related courses while also exploring those cities.

International Exchange Programs - More Information to be Available Later
These semester-long exchange programs give Viterbi students the opportunity to study at one of our international partner schools and invite students of our partner institutions to study at USC.  These programs are one-to-one exchanges.

University Overseas Programs
In addition to the Viterbi Summer Program and International Exchange Programs, students have the opportunity to explore the many programs offered through the University's Office of Overseas Studies. Students interested in these programs should plan well in advance as well as meet with an advisor in VIterbi Admission & Student Affairs to determine which courses will fullfill degree requirements.
