Viterbi undergraduates are encouraged to get involved in research. Benefits include practical application of classroom knowledge, work-experience & resume building, enhanced problem-solving & analytical abilities, rapport with faculty, and much more!
Students participate in research through formal programs, student organizations, national competitions, volunteering in a lab, the Undergraduate Fabrication Lab, and their coursework (Directed Research 490 & capstone courses).

To get started in research, students can check out the research opportunities posted in ViterbiConnect, see the link on the left-hand menu for Summer Research, use the Undergraduate Research Matching Tool, speak with their academic advisor, and contact their professors.
