Research

Viterbi undergraduates are encouraged to get involved in research. Benefits include enhanced critical thinking and analytical abilities, developing a mentoring relationship a faculty member, hands-experience beyond the classroom, narrowing down your interests in the field of engineering, and much more!

Students participate in research through formal research programs, student organizations, national competitions, volunteering in a lab, the Undergraduate Fabrication Lab, and their coursework (Directed Research 490 & capstone courses).

Special Announcement:

Undergraduate Research Matching Tool: A new tool to facilitate the process of assisting faculty with identifying potential candidates for their labs and to aid students in finding research projects of interest.
