Hometown: Louisville, CO
High School: Monarch High School
What made you decide to attend USC: A variety of reasons. I grew up in Southern California and wanted to come back, I love the city, and USC has a great engineering school. But most importantly, I felt like USC fit my personality and would be a place where I would be encouraged to pursue my varied interests.
Best experience/interaction with a professor: After taking a midterm, I had a professor tell me that I had finished it faster than he had.
Favorite Class: EE 357
Involvements/extracurricular activities: Alpha Gamma Omega Fraternity, Research on Carbon Nanotubes in Steve Cronin’s Lab
Favorite on-campus event: Springfest. I like music and concerts.
Best off-campus experience: Spending a day going up to Bear Mountain for snowboarding with a group of close friends. There were a lot of us, and we snowboarded all day, but it was immensely fun and a great bonding time.
Favorite memory from freshman year: Relaxing, smoking cigars late into the night with a few close friends near the end of my 1st semester at USC.
What you like about being in LA: Lots, but especially the wide variety of great food and restaurants that can be found in LA. I love trying new places and eating all sorts of food.
Research/study abroad experience: I have done research since my freshman year working on various projects in the lab listed above. The summer after my freshman year, I studied abroad in Paris with the Engineering Summer abroad program.
Hobbies/interests: Music, guitar, snowboarding, volleyball, video games, disc golf, movies, and great food
