Class of 2012

B.S. Electrical Engineering
Minor: Marketing (Advertising and Promotional Strategy)

Hometown: Pleasanton, CA

High School: Amador Valley High School

What made you decide to attend USC: I visited many colleges and USC was not even on my original list of colleges I was considering. After my Uncle (an alum) pleaded with me to check out USC, I made the trip down the California coast to see it for myself. From the minute I stepped on the campus, I knew I had found the right place for me (as corny as that may sound). The campus atmosphere, the school spirit, the academic ranking that improves every year…what’s not to like!

Best experience/interaction with a professor:This is a tough question for me to answer because the majority of my professors (especially those in engineering-related classes) have been absolutely awesome and extremely personable. Instead of singling out one experience I’d have to say the countless hours Dr. Bickers’ has spent helping myself and others with our Honors Physics homework.

Favorite Class: EE 101 & EE 201 (Digital Logic and Digital Circuits)

Involvements/extracurricular activities: IEEE, Pi Mu Epsilon, Alpha Lambda Delta, USC Gamers Network, HKN

Favorite on-campus event: Gotta be the football games. The campus here is electric on game day.

Best off-campus experience: Experimenting with all the fine dining options LA has to offer. One particular experience included going to all-you-can-eat Brazilian BBQ for lunch, walking to the Beverly Center, and eating gelato while looking out at LA from the food court’s 7th floor terrace.

Favorite memory from freshman year: Getting a 4.0 second semester

What you like about being in LA: The close proximity to so many things to do, places to go, and (if you’re feeling stalkerish) people to see. Every time I go off campus is a totally new and different experience and the possibilities of places to go are endless – although I must admit my favorites include Magic Mountain, Universal City Walk, and any professional sporting event.

Research/study abroad experience: I studied abroad the past summer in Paris, France. I had the time of my life and would not give up my experience for anything. I constantly find myself wishing I was still in Paris. If you get the chance, go abroad!

Hobbies/interests: Sports, video games, fantasy sports, working out, hanging out with friends
