Hometown: Phoenix, AZ
High School: Brophy College Preparatory
What made you decide to attend USC: I received an academic scholarship here and the other schools I was looking at didn’t offer scholarships. In addition, USC offers a well-mixed student life between academics, extracurriculars, and social life that I didn’t feel anywhere else.
Best experience/interaction with a professor: One-on-ones with my Writ 140 Professor. The conversations always became really interesting and engaging.
Favorite Class: Philosophy 262- Modern Conceptions of the Self and Mind. It covered topics such as whether or not computers can think, what makes humans human, and the continuation of the soul after death.
Involvements/extracurricular activities: I am a Freshman Academy Coach, a member of the Sigma Chi Fraternity, and a member of the Alpha Lambda Delta Honor Society. I also jump into intramural sports whenever I can.
Favorite on-campus event: Football games!
Best off-campus experience: Blue-chip dinner, a formal dinner during rush in the greek system, is always at an amazing off-campus venue with very good food. All three of the ones I have attended so far have been awesome.
Favorite memory from freshman year: Sigma Chi Derby Days, a large philanthropy event last spring. Shiny Toy Guns and Hypercrush performed and it turned into a fun party. I am excited for Derby Days this fall!
What you like about being in LA: LA is a huge city with a lot to offer. On the extremely rare occasion where you find yourself on campus with not much to do you can venture into the city and always end up having a good time.
Research/study abroad experience: I am hoping to go abroad this summer and I have not yet been involved in any research.
Hobbies/Interests: I have been skiing since I was 3 and it is my favorite thing to do. I love playing any sports, reading, and I am a huge fan of the Arizona Cardinals.
