Summer Research Intern Programs - 2009

The USC Viterbi School of Engineering (VSoE) is pleased to announce several world-class internship opportunities during Summer 2009. All programs are for outstanding undergraduate engineering students who will begin their senior year in Fall 2009. Students will work with Viterbi faculty on projects of current interest. Below you will find a breakdown of this summer's programs. Choose the program that is most appropriate to you.

Viterbi School Summer Internship Program Dr. Hsiai (left), Dr. Raghavendra (right) and most recent alumni of the VSoE internship program (Summer '08)	20 students For outstanding undergraduate engineering students who will begin their senior year in Fall 2009. Must be US Citizen or Permanent Resident. USC & Non-USC students welcome. IIT-Kharagpur Visiting Scholars Farewell lunch for summer '08 ITT students. Faculty include 1. Sr. Associate Dean Cauligi Raghavendra; 2. Martin Gundersen (EE-E); 3. Urbashi Mitra (EE-S); 4. Anupam Madhukar (CMS/BME); and 5. James Moore II (ISE). . .	10 students 8-week research program For outstanding undergraduate engineering students from IIT- Kharagpur. Period: May 18 - July 17 (dates approximate) Compensation: $3,000 total stipend for living expenses. Does not include airfare Send inquiries/applications to: Prof. S.K. Tsinghua Visiting Scholars Farewell lunch for THU students (Summer '08)	12 students For outstanding undergraduate engineering students from THU who will begin their senior year in Fall 2009.  July 7 – Aug. 11, 2009 (dates approximate) Compensation: $2,500 stipend for living expenses (entire program), Airfare up to $1,500, DS2019 Fees Contact: C.S. Research Experiences for Undergraduates   REU - Featured Project	The NSF Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) program supports active research participation by undergraduate students in various areas of research. For outstanding undergraduate students enroled in a program in Computer Science or related fields (e.g. Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics). Must be US citizen or permanent resident. 10 weeks during the summer months of 2008-2010. Students will be housed on the USC campus. For a list of available projects, click here. APPLY HERE
