Come learn about the importance of networking, and how to grow your network through an interactive workshop where you'll learn to create your elevator pitch and get the opportunity to practice this valuable skill in a friendly environment.Lunch will be provided! Viterbi Summer Overseas Program Application Deadline

The Viterbi Summer Overseas Program Application Deadline is Monday, February 5th. This year's Summer Overseas Program will take place in Paris, France. The seven-week program provides students with the opportunity to complete 5-7 units of engineering-related coursework as well as participate in planned group excursions. A group of post-docs has formed a cross-disciplinary group targeted at Women in Science and Engineering Post-docs. The goal is to provide networking, career, and social opportunities (for example, how to prepare for the academic job market, etc.) for women post-docs at USC.The group has been given seed money by USC's WiSE program and will hold meetings on the second Friday of each month, beginning February 9.For more information including location, please contact Angie Knapp (angelakn@usc.edu) or Katharine Moore (katharim@usc.edu).

Have you ever thought about doing research? Are you looking to fill your time this summer with a meaningful experience that can be applied to your future endeavors? If you answered yes to either of these questions then you should come out to the Center for Engineering Diversity Summer Research Panel Discussion. The panel will feature Professor Fernando Ordonez (ISE) and Professor Ellis Meng (BME), both have done extensive research in their fields and are eager to discuss the benefits of undergraduate research. The panel will also feature two undergraduate students who have previously participated in summer research. This will be an open discussion so come prepared with all of your pressing questions!
