Student/Industry Spacecraft Design Team

Student Activity
Interviews for intensive one semester design study, where students will team with professionals from a major aerospace company to design low cost low earth orbit satellite. Graduate and undergraduate students from ASTE, AME, EE or ISE encouraged to apply. Open to US citizens or permanent residents only. To apply please email David Barnhart (barnhart@isi.edu) and cc Joseph Kunc (kunc@usc.edu) with attached one-page resume. Participation will be enrollment in ASTE 291/491, directed research, or other opportunities, including compensation.

Lunar Lander Interview

Interviews for the next generation vehicle development and flight testing of a lunar lander prototype vehicle. Undergraduate and graduate, all engineering majors encouraged to apply. If interested, please email David Barnhart (barnhart@isi.edu) and cc Joseph Kunc (kunc@usc.edu) with attached one-page resume. Students will be competitively selected and will be expected to participate in actual construction and integration of vehicle.

SWE Resume Workshop

Have you made a resume yet? Is your old one in need of a makeover? SWE is putting on a workshop to help members create and perfect their resumes. A good career starts with a good resume, and the workshop is the perfect opportunity to get something ready for the SWE resume CD, the upcoming Career Fair, and the conference! A representative from Raytheon will be there to critique resumes and share his wisdom. If available, bring a copy of an old resume or a list of activities you have been involved in. Free food will be provided!

The USC Chapter of Engineers Without Borders (EWB-USC) partners with developing communities to improve their quality of life through the implementation of environmentally sustainable, equitable, and economical engineering projects while developing socially and environmentally conscious engineering students. Our chapter offers the opportunity to enhance many attributes critical to successful engineering practice, including team work, problem solving, and creativity. Furthermore, EWB-USC allows undergraduate Trojan engineers to utilize and expand their engineering skills for a meaningful, moral purpose.
