On Monday, June 27, 2005, a commercial for the USC Viterbi School’s Distance
Education Network (DEN) will begin airing on radio station KNX AM 1070. The commercial
will be heard a total of 233 times over a period of seven weeks on both KNX and
on KFWB AM 980.
"USC has such a strong reputation in Southern California. However, not many people
are aware that its engineering school is ranked top ten in the nation, and more
importantly, that they can obtain their graduate engineering degree from USC entirely
online,” says Kelly Goulis, DEN’s executive director. “The goal of this radio
campaign is to get the word out to all the Southern California engineers working
full-time to let them know it is possible to advance their education while balancing
work and family."
The commercial was created by Praxis Advertising and Design in conjunction with
DEN and Viterbi School marketing professionals. Keri Tombazian, a disk jockey
at the Wave, is the announcer for the commercial.
