USC Students Win Transportation Scholarships


November 27, 2006 — Kelly Pilarski, a senior in building science student in the Viterbi School’s Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, Viterbi School of Engineering, won the Women's Transportation Seminar - Los Angeles chapter's $5K Ava Doner undergraduate

scholarship. She will compete nationally for the Sharon Banks undergraduate fellowship funded by WTS International.

Sylvia He, a PhD student in the USC School of Policy, Planning, and Development, won the Women's Transportation Seminar - Orange County chapter's graduate scholarship for 2006. She will compete nationally for the Helene Overly graduate scholarship funded by WTS International.

Sylvia will be recognized in November at the same WTS-LA banquet at the Biltmore Hotel when Kelly receives her award.
