Scott Easley, long an adjunct instructor for the Department of Computer Science's GamePipe Laboratory, has joined the Viterbi School full-time as the lab's Assistant Director.

Zyda said Easley will be responsible for teaching CS-281 Pipelines for Games & Interactives, CS-282 3D Animation & Character Animation, CS-486 Serious Games, and CS-491/529 Final/Advanced Game Projects.
Easely was previously at THQ’s Heavy Iron Studios, where he was Animation Production Manager. He supervised animation teams for Incredibles 2, Ratatouille, Destroy All Humans and the Wall-e video games.
Previous to THQ, He was Senior Animator for Electronic Arts’ Medal of Honor, Lead Animator for Oddworld Inhabitants, and Animator for Sony Imagesoft, and has spoken internationally at the Imagina CG Conference in Monaco, the CG Conference in London, the 3D Festival in Copenhagen, and at the Game Developers Conference.
Easley has won two Emmy Awards and a Telly Award for his animation work.
