Mark your calendars, the SS12 Hackathon is back!
*What is SS12?*
SS12 is a Code-A-Thon Challenge organized by Project:Possibility and local ACM organizations. In the past, SS12 events have been held at the University of Southern California (USC) and the University of California, Los Angeles(UCLA).This event provides an opportunity for undergraduate and graduate software developers to make a profound difference by teaming up and developing innovative, empowering software projects for disabled persons and win prizes for their work. The purpose of SS12 is to increase awareness of issues in accessible computing and be educational and fun for all participants.
*Why should I join?*
Aside from the invaluable experience a hackathon can give you, your projects can form the basis of life-changing software! Prizes will be awarded at the hackathon and the winning team will square off against UCLA and CSUN's team at the 27th Annual International Tecnology and Persons with Disabilities Conference in March!
*Who should join?*
Anyone! Students from all sorts of programming backgrounds can benefit from the experience. If you have a willingness to learn, a spirit for competition, or a passion to create software with real-life implications, SS12 is the hackathon for you!
*What should I do now?*
