You will have the opportunity to serve as a mentor for these students as you help with assigned engineering tasks. Students will also participate in workshop panels including: Women in Engineering, Life of an Engineer, and The Workforce. There will be consistent interactions and mentorship opportunities between you and the students throughout the day.

Calling All Women!
Are you creative and innovative? Do you want to use technology to help solve world problems? Well then come join women on university campuses all over the world for the International Girls Hackathon during Engineering Week, sponsored by Microsoft Research, ACM-W, IEEE-W, NCWIT, and Skype! Become the producers of tomorrowââ¬â¢s technology solutions instead of just consumers!
We are very excited to announce that Rane Johnson, one of the Research Directors of Microsoft Research, will be flying down with her team to join us. In addition, the day before the event, we will have a Windows 8 app development workshop to get you ready for hackathon!
The kickoff for the event is on Saturday and will continue through the weekend. Women with any level of programming are encouraged to join.
