  • Viterbi Scholarship Application Deadline

    The 2007-2008 Viterbi Scholarship Application must be submitted to RTH 110 by 5:00 PM on March 1, 2007. You may download the application at http://viterbi.usc.edu/students/undergrad/finaid/. In addition to applying for need-based aid, continuing undergraduate students within the Viterbi School can apply for various donor supported scholarships each year via the Viterbi Scholarship Application. Any continuing undergraduate student who has received the Viterbi School Merit Scholarship and/or the Merit Research Award must also submit the application for renewal every year by March 1st. Continuing undergraduate students may also submit an application if they are interested in requesting additional funding.If you have any questions please email viterbi.studentservices@usc.edu.

    A group of post-docs has formed a cross-disciplinary group targeted at Women in Science and Engineering Post-docs. The goal is to provide networking, career, and social opportunities (for example, how to prepare for the academic job market, etc.) for women post-docs at USC.The group meets on the second Friday of each month. In addition to its usual lunch and networking, the March meeting will feature a discussion of the book "Women Don't Ask" by Linda Babcock and Susan Laschever (http://www.womendontask.com).     Competitive National and International Fellowships
    This session will include information about various competitive fellowships, including Rhodes Scholarships, Marshall Scholarships, Fulbright Grants, Luce Scholarships, Rotary Ambassadorial Scholarships, and many more. Topics to be covered include qualifications required for each fellowship, tips for writing a strong application, and answers to your questions. Students at all academic levels (freshman through senior, plus all graduate students) are welcome and encouraged to attend the information sessions. Most of the fellowships described here require applicants to hold U.S. citizenship. For more information:

    The Fulbright information session presents details about this fantastic grant opportunity that supports study/research in over 140 countries worldwide. Examples of successful Fulbright proposals from previous applicants will be discussed, along with advice regarding various elements of the application process (foreign language proficiency, letters of recommendation, host country affiliations, etc.) Students at all academic levels (freshman through senior, plus all graduate students) are welcome and encouraged to attend the information sessions.
