ASCE's 2013 Pacific Southwest Conference

Student Activity
The Pacific South West Conference (PSWC) is ASCEââ¬â¢s annual student chapter competition that puts skills related to the civil engineering profession to the test. The competition involves a wide range of events including but not limited to concrete canoe, steel bridge, environmental design, surveying, quiz bowl, technical paper,concrete bowling, basketball, and soccer. The competition features three full days of events with an awards banquet on the last day. Participants include teams of civil engineering students from 18 major colleges and universities in Southern California, Nevada, Arizona, and Hawaii.
This year USC ASCE has the honor of co-hosting the event with LMU and CBU on the USC University Park Campus. Friday's events will all take place at the Santa Fe Dam.Location: USC Campus

Would you like to know how Northrop Grumman tackles challenging engineering problems to protect our nation's security? Northrop Grumman's Communication and Data Systems Center is coming for a Tech Talk to share how they work, in addition to meeting USC students with hopes of filling their open positions. In addition to other opportunities Northrop Grumman offers, their Comm. Center at NGAS is recruiting graduating BSEE and MSEE students for full time positions, so they would love to meet with you at the event!
Make sure to come out and network with Northrop Grumman representatives as they are looking for USC students to fill their ranks! Food will be provided, so come hungry and leave happy!

Discover Lab Day! On April 12, 50 students from 32nd Street Margaret Middle School will visit our student-run engineering labs on campus, including Rocket Propulsion Lab, SC Racing, and USC Robotics. During the day, the lab members will show the kids what happen in their labs and after the tour the kids will have interactive activities with lab members.While our goal is to inspire the students' interests in engineering and sciences, it is also a great chance for USC students to hang out with those middle school students. Sign up to be a volunteer and enjoy the day with our amazing labs and cute kids! Lunch will be provided.
