It's not a surprise that women engineers are greatly outnumbered by men, both in school and in the workplace. But a recent study by the National Science Foundation that found almost 40% of women are leaving engineering is a bit baffling.
Inventor and innovation expert Julie Austin dives deeper into the research and into history to unravel the puzzle of gender diversity in engineering and innovation, and how we can use our differences to our benefit.
Julie Austin is an award-winning author, inventor, and innovation speaker. You are cordially invited to join us for an upcoming graduate engineering information session in Wuhan, China. This event will be hosted by Viterbi School representatives Ray Xu, Director of the USC China office for the Viterbi School of Engineering.
Students who have earned or are in the progress of earning a Bachelor's degree in engineering, math, or a hard science (such as physics, biology, or chemistry) are welcome to attend to learn more about applying to our graduate programs.
Attendees will also have the chance to ask questions and receive official brochures and handout information from USC.
