Come hear from a panel of Viterbi faculty and alumni, industry representatives, and current Viterbi student.Spotlight is a series of workshops held during the fall semester, as part of the First Year Excellence (FYE) and Sophomore Year Connections (SYC) programs. It was created specifically for engineering freshmen and sophomore students who would like to learn more about their programs of study and their departments. Spotlight is a great program for students who are in the process of deciding on a major, or those who may not be certain about the major they have chosen.

Will there be a "new world" of investment?
    If so, how will policy shape what it looks like? What does it all mean for you?Faculty from the Marshall School of Business and the School of Policy, Planning and Development will tackle these questions and other financial issues on Tuesday October 7th at 6:00 pm in the Davidson Conference Center. * Larry Harris, the Fred V. Keenan Chair in Finance and Director of the Center for Investment Studies at the USC Marshall School of Business and former Chief Economist of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, will moderate a panel consisting of:* Richard Green - Director of the USC Lusk Center for Real Estate and Lusk Chair in Real Estate at the School of Policy, Planning, and Development and the Marshall School of Business. Dr. Green was principal economist and director of financial strategy and policy analysis at Freddie Mac.* Raphael Bostic - Director of the Master of Real Estate Development Program and Professor in the School of Policy, Planning, and Development. Dr. Bostic joined USC's faculty after spending six years on the staff at the Federal Reserve Board of Governors. * Robert Rodriguez - Mr. Rodriquez is the principal and CEO of First Pacific Advisors, Inc. (FPA), an investment management firm that strives to provide consistent, long-term and superior services and returns for clients.
