Application of games in courses
Tuesday, November 8th, 2016
12:00pm - 1:15pm
RTH 217
Speakers: Ted Mayeshiba & Mike Lee
We will have two speakers discuss how they've applied game-based learning strategies in their courses. By definition, gamification is the idea of adding game-based elements to a non-game scenario. Game-based learning involves the use of games to enhance the learning experience. Both scenarios are active learning strategies that increase student engagement. Their talks will be followed by a brief demonstration.
