Protiviti has become recognized worldwide as a top expert in internal audit and risk management, as well as a thought leader in areas that include the complexities and challenges of complying with corporate governance regulations such as the Sarbanes-Oxley Act.The company operates in 28 major US markets and 5 international markets.
Protiviti has been featured in publications such as Businessweek as a leader in providing consulting services related to the Sarbanes-Oxley Act.The name of the company is a coined term:[It] communicates our key brand attributes -- professionalism and proactivity as well as independence and integrity. The unique spelling with three "I's" represents "Independence," which is perhaps the most important concept.The name of the firm was chosen as a part of the branding studies done at the firms founding.
