    USC Health Care Business Club Presents Guest Speaker: Chris Van Gorder, President and CEO of Scripps HealthThe USC Health Care Business Club Presents Chris Van Gorder, the President and CEO of Scripps Health, and one of the top 100 most powerful people in healthcare in the United States. Mr. Van Gorder was recently elected to serve as the chair-elect of the American College of Healthcare Executives, an international professional society of more than 30,000 healthcare executives. Scripps is a not-for-profit, integrated health care delivery system with five acute-care hospitals, Scripps Clinic, ambulatory care network, and more than 2,600 affiliated physicians. Scripps Health has 13,000 employees and over 2 billion in revenue a year. 

 As President and CEO of Scripps Health, Mr. Van Gorder has led the not-for-profit health system through a remarkable financial and cultural turnaround, and in the process repositioned Scripps among the nation's leading health care institutions. It has been listed among FORTUNE Magazine's "100 Best Companies to Work For" in America, becoming only the second San Diego Company to achieve this honor. Other honors include being voted among America's best hospitals in 2008 by U.S. News and Top Leadership Team in Healthcare for large hospitals and health systems. Mr. Van Gorder received his Masters of Public Administration/Health Services Administration at the University of Southern California. In addition, he completed the Wharton System CEO Program at University of Pennsylvania, is board certified in healthcare management, and is an ACHE fellow. Join the USC Health Care Business Club and the greater USC community for an outstanding talk and networking night with Mr. Van Gorder. The event will take place this Thursday, April 2, at 7:30 pm in HOH 1. After his talk, there will be food and refreshments and an opportunity to network with the speaker.
