Talk Title: USC Physical Sciences in Oncology 2nd Annual Symposium
Abstract: The symposium is hosted by the USC Physical Sciences in Oncology Center, which was selected by NCI/NIH as one of twelve PSOC research centers in the nation. The overall goals of the center are to take new, non-traditional approaches to cancer research by studying the physical laws and principles of cancer; evolution and evolutionary theory of cancer; information coding, decoding, transfer and translation in cancer; and ways to de-convolute cancerâs complexity. Additionally, we have been charged with the task of encouraging widespread collaboration and building a new generation of scientists to lead these transdisciplinary efforts.
Biography: This is a full day event beginning at 8:00 a.m. and ending at approximately 6:00 p.m. Continental breakfast and lunch with be provided for registered attendees.
