CS@USC Alum Sriram Baskaran will be visiting USC and presenting on how to efficiently make the leap into data engineering.
Sriram, a USC Alum, Program Director, Data Engineer, currently working at Insight Data Science, will discuss the growing demand for Data Scientist and Data Engineers at companies across the US, and some tips and strategies for how to make the transition from academia into industry. He will also go over a case study discussing big data challenges and how teams are building solutions to tackle them.
Sriram will quickly give an overview of the tuition-free Insight Data Fellows Program, their programs addressing Data Science, Data Engineering, DevOps Engineering, Health Data, Artificial Intelligence and Security and how it helps undergraduate, graduate students and postdocs bridge the gap between academia and industry.
