Biography


Shahin Nazarian received his B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering-Electronics from Tehran Polytechnic, and his M.S. degrees in Electrical Engineering-Electronics and Computer Engineering from the University of Tehran and the University of Southern California (USC), respectively. He also received his Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from USC. Shahin teaches classes in digital design, VLSI design, computer networks and computer architecture. Before joining USC as a teaching faculty, he worked at Magma Design Automation - R&D department as a senior member of technical staff. His other industrial experiences have been on hardware and microcontroller based design, wireless design, and digital system testing. His research during graduate studies focused on timing and noise analysis, crosstalk-noise-aware testing and validation, as well as power consumption of CMOS integrated circuits.
