Message from the Chair
We're starting 2025 on a high note, following a year of multiple new awards, papers, and events. In October, AME and Honeywell International Inc. co-hosted a prominent conference on the future of hypersonics, featuring the research of Associate Professor Ivan Bermejo-Moreno among other presentations. Meanwhile, the impact of our faculty members can be seen across fields ranging from cardiology, to neuroscience, to urban planning, to advanced manufacturing.
Our faculty have garnered many accolades this year including:
The excellence of our faculty directly translates to the education and mentorship of our students. The AME Senior Design Projects showcase is a testament to the creativity and technical know-how of our graduating students, and this year's event presented remarkable prototypes for engineering solutions in robotics, space exploration and automative design.
This portfolio of research, teaching, industry partnerships and groundbreaking innovations is what provides AME's students with "value added" education to enter successful careers – several applying their research to launch their own startups.
We hope you enjoy reading this selection of highlights, each playing a role in the radical technological shifts that are transforming our world today.
