This half day program is designed for prospective freshmen and family members. Meet USC includes an information session on the University and the Admission process; a student led walking tour of campus and a meeting with us in the Viterbi School. Meet USC is designed to answer all of your questions about USC, the application process and financial aid.Reservations are required for Meet USC. This program occurs twice, once at 9:00 a.m. and again at 1:00 p.m. Please visit http://www.usc.edu/admission/undergraduate/visit/meet_usc.html to check availability and make an appointment. Title: "Inside the Port of Long Beach: Challenges and Opportunities"Presenters: Michael Vanderbeek, Manager of Strategic Planning and Eric Shen, Director of Transportation PlanningABSTRACT: Port security, air quality, international trade policy and aging transportation infrastructure are key issues at the forefront of public policy debate around the United States and the world. Nowhere do these and other hot button issues related to goods movement and international trade converge more than at Southern California's Los Angeles/Long Beach port complex. On February 4 at 12 PM, senior staff from the Port of Long Beach will be on hand to share their insights into both the external and internal challenges and opportunities of managing the nation's second busiest seaport. Thinking about graduate school? Did you know that Juniors and new Transfer students may be eligible to apply early and start graduate work during the Senior year? The Progressive Degree Program combines a Bachelors degree and a Masters degree and allows students to complete both degrees in fewer units than doing them separately. But, you have to apply as a Junior or in the second semester for most Transfer students! This information session will cover how the program works, the eligibility requirements and the application procedures.
