dnk@strata-decision.comABSTRACT: Organizations typically have more good ideas than resources available to pursue those ideas. Decision analysis provides practical guidance on how to get maximum benefit from limited resources. This talk provides an overview of methods for prioritizing projects using mathematical optimization in concert with decision and risk analysis tools such as multiattribute utility / value models, decision trees, influence diagrams, and Monte Carlo simulation. Resource allocation applications in healthcare and homeland security settings will be discussed, with particular emphasis on problems and issues that arise in model implementation.THURSDAY, JUNE 15, 2006 - GERONTOLOGY BUILDING (GER) ROOM 309 - 3:00-4:00 PM
