Together with USC scholars and mystic-poetry enthusiasts Elahe Nezami, Behrokh Khoshnevis and Mansour Rahimi, the performers will share the powerful message of mystical love as embodied in the poetry of thirteenth-century mystics. Scholars will discuss Sufism and the poetry and philosophy of Jalal al-Din Rumi. Used throughout time to protest oppression and exalt in the divine, the music and recitation of poetry exemplify the ways in which art and humanity are inextricably bound.Tickets: Admission is free.
